I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We paid more than €100 a day this season, so being told it was a cheap hotel didn’t make the problems acceptable. When I asked reception if the internet could be improved, the staff member was very unfriendly and basically asked what I expected because the hotel was cheap. A more humble answer, like apologizing that the connection was weak and nothing could be done, would have been better. Maybe this is why the hotel is so underrated. A lot of services were missing, and the response that cheap means everything is fine just wasn’t okay. Here’s what we experienced: 1. There was no cleaning service. Nobody came even though we stayed for more than two weeks, so we used the same bed and hand towel. 2. The bathroom had no amenities, usual hairdryer, or body products. 3. All the kitchen utensils were very dirty. 4. There were insects, including cockroaches. 5. Our five-year-old daughter asked where the internet was. Forget the Wi-Fi, you have to use your own connection. The answer was basically that we hadn’t paid much, so we had to accept it. Shameful. 6. Forget the TV. It felt like living in the early 90s, and nothing worked. 7. In the evenings, singers at different hotels performed nearby, and it was very loud inside the apartment and on the balcony. 8. Our apartment had no table on the balcony. 9. There was nowhere to get breakfast or anything to eat. 10. Loud music played in the entrance very early in the morning. The reception staff were unfriendly, too.

The location is excellent, but the hotel itself is in terrible shape. The neglect was obvious as soon as we reached reception. We stayed this weekend with my sister and husband, and the place was beyond disgusting. See photos. It clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, with grime and hair left behind by countless previous guests. There were months’ worth of hair and dust on the skirting boards, orange mould in the shower, stains on the chair upholstery, marks all over the walls, and what looked like filthy handprints and grime on the bedhead. Absolutely disgusting.

We would have left on the first day if the other hotels hadn’t been fully booked. The place was unclean, and when we arrived there was a wet patch on my sofa bed. It turned out to be urine, and the sheets hadn’t been changed after the previous guests. We had to ask three times to get them changed, and nobody offered to move us to another room. The urine had soaked through the cushions and stained the wooden base. During our seven days, the sheets were changed once and we weren’t given fresh towels. We had to buy our own toilet roll. There’s no air conditioning in the bedroom, and the floors badly need mopping. I wouldn’t book this place again.

The location was good, with a 60s bar just 30 seconds away, but I won’t return. I stayed three nights and got bites all over from bed bugs. The window was smashed when we arrived, the pool was very small, and the place wasn’t very clean. A big bush blocked the balcony view, the room doors were battered and full of holes, and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. Please don’t stay here.
