Hotel Los Guardeses

A cozy, pleasant place, very clean, with a good bed. I was here on a business trip and found it really relaxing. The service was excellent too. Recommended!

The wedding here was amazing, and the staff deserve credit for being professional while still friendly and approachable. Our family of six, across three generations, stayed five nights with breakfast and attended the wedding at the hotel. It’s a lovely blend of old and new, and the continental breakfast was excellent. There’s also a great covered play park and football pitch just a few minutes’ walk away.

The rooms are plush, comfortable and clean, and the service is good. There’s gated parking behind the building for a few customer cars, and dogs are welcome with a few simple rules. A small supermarket and lively local bars are just a two-minute walk away. The building was once a palace with a monastery, and it’s been presented with real care as a venue for corporate events, weddings, meals, or simply a more comfortable stay. If you’re arriving in or leaving Santander, the 15-minute drive from the ferry port is worth it. It looks fabulous and is fabulous. Highly recommended.

We spent a night here before catching the ferry back to England from Santander. The hotel was beautiful and spotless, and perfectly placed for the port. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The value was astonishingly good. I’d highly recommend it.
