El Violin Experiencia

The owners are incredibly welcoming. This is a great base near the coast, the mountains, and cities like Granada and Málaga. A must if you're visiting Andalucía.

We had a fantastic week at El Violin. Patrick was happy to share tips about the lovely hiking nearby, and the orange and lemon trees were full of fruit. It was windy while we were there, so we didn't spend much time outside, but that was more than made up for by the hospitality from Patrick and Christel. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged, from the charming rooms and breakfast to Christel's wonderful dinner.

The setting in Valle de Lecrín is stunning, surrounded by nature and views that are hard to put into words. What made the stay stand out most was the personal welcome and the passion behind everything. It’s a lovely place to switch off, whether you’re there for a special event or just wandering through its charming corners. The care in every detail makes you feel special right away. A place with real soul, and one I’d recommend experiencing at least once.

El Violin is ideally placed for hikes, Granada, the Alpujarra, and trips toward the coast, as well as for enjoying the small, non-touristy towns of Valle Lecrin. The hosts, Christel and Patrick, are always there and the service is fantastic. We spent two wonderful weeks here. The rooms were clean, thoughtfully furnished, and the beds very comfortable. The whole property feels welcoming, and the breakfast is excellent, especially with the lovely view from the outdoor balcony on a clear day. We also highly recommend the optional dinner. You can choose each morning whether to eat there that evening, and order starter, main, and dessert separately. The freshly cooked dishes are inspired, varied, and filling. The atmosphere is lovely, and the table was decorated with so much care.
