Albergue o Apalpador - Hostel

The kitchen worked fine for making dinner, and the beds had real sheets. It was a perfectly fine place, just not my favorite albergue on the Camino. We couldn't use the drying lines because they filled up before we got to them, and the dryer was broken, so I had to take my wet clothes to a laundromat half a kilometer away.

The owner was incredibly kind when I injured my foot. He brought me supplies to help it heal and offered me tea. He also handles laundry for 7 euros, so you don't have to worry about putting your clothes in the dryer. The place was clean and nicely decorated, with fragrance and music adding to the atmosphere. I felt lucky to stay here.

Staying in Antonio's home was a pleasure. It was very comfortable, and Antonio was friendly, kind, and genuinely empathetic toward his guests. His hospitality was amazing. I'd recommend Antonio and his Albergue any day. Gracias para todos. 🙏🏾

Antonio gave me a great welcome and carried my bags in more ways than one. The albergue is a stone's throw from the main Camino, so make the detour. There are 12 bunk beds, clean showers, washing lines, and laundry service. Shared meals are part of it, and unopened food goes to charity, so nothing is wasted. It's the usual eclectic mix of Camineers, though none of us can play the ukulele.
