Laurie welcomed us so warmly and was always ready with help and advice, so we felt at home right away with our dog. The hotel was spotless and tasteful, the staff were super nice, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including gluten-free options. We spent four fabulous nights in early October. It’s handy for ferry stopovers and also for exploring Cantabria and Asturias. Thanks for a memorable stay. We hope to see you again in spring.

Laurie made a wonderful hostess, welcoming us warmly and giving great suggestions for sights and places to eat. The hotel is unique and ideally placed for day trips and hidden gems nearby. We started each day with a delicious breakfast, and Beau, the sweet house dog, was a delightful greeter who brought so much joy to our stay. We had a memorable time and highly recommend it for a special visit.

The price was a very pleasant surprise if you're used to paying UK hotel rates. It's a lovely old country house, close to Santander's port and the local beaches, and our hosts were genuinely warm and welcoming. The Camino Del Norte runs right by it, too, making it a nice place to enjoy a little comfort along the way.

The owner made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She was so welcoming and generous, and always happy to help with whatever we needed. The place itself was enchanting, with a lovely setting, comfortable rooms, and thoughtful little details throughout. We had a wonderful stay.

The garden was a lovely spot for afternoon tea, and my room was well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, too. This was my first night walking the Camino del Norte after setting out from Santander, and Laurie, the owner, gave me such a generous, attentive welcome as soon as I arrived. We had great chats about Camino life, and I met Bo, her chocolate labrador. Everyone I met was kind and attentive. When I woke from my siesta, the nearby restaurant had already closed, so Laurie even offered me Sunday dinner. I felt incredibly lucky to start my trip at Joyuca Del Pas. Give Bo a pet for me when you go!
