Hotel Pattaya

I really wish I'd stayed somewhere else. After a same-day booking and a late arrival, we were told we had to pay more because our small child would share our bed, even though we'd booked a room with a double bed. We asked for a refund and were refused. Parking also cost extra. I asked for a room on a higher floor, but the man said there wasn't one. Then we got a basement room, with dead cockroaches on the bathroom floor, dirt under the beds, and strange smells. I complained, and the rude staff member offered a similar room upstairs, despite having just said none existed. By then our family and belongings were already settled in, so we had to stay. They offered no other fix. The beds were uncomfortable, the blankets weren't enough for the cold night, and the AC was switched off overnight. It was a miserable, cold stay. At night, the noise was unbearable. The hotel also operates as a local bar, with noisy people outside drinking, smoking, and talking drunkenly by the front door. There's a vending machine there with beer, lighters, and condoms. I left the car on the street instead of paying for private parking and kept checking that it was okay. The private parking costs 12€, so be aware it's not included. This place was quite expensive for a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. Stay somewhere else if you can.
