Apartment in Mogan Near Playa de Mogan

We had garlic prawn tapas, bruschetta, and Canarian potatoes, and it was a great choice. The beer came cold in an iced glass, which added a real wow factor. Mogan Mar is right by the beach and harbour, with great views. Definitely worth a visit.

We came around 9 pm on a Sunday and just made it in time to order. The Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce were very tasty. For mains, the beef and chicken skewer was excellent, with vegetables on the side. The mixed grill was amazing too, with pork and a lamb chop, chicken breast, two pieces of steak, and a large sausage. All the meat was cooked just right and very tender. Sadly, we were too full for dessert. It’s a pleasant restaurant on the promenade at Puerto de Mogan, with a lovely view over the water.

The waiters seemed impatient and kept rushing around for no clear reason. They could have been friendlier, as it made the meal less enjoyable. The food was good quality. My steak was especially good and cooked perfectly, though it needed more seasoning to bring out the taste. The Greek salad was a good size, but the balsamic was overpowering.

We’ve eaten here many times over the years, but after this evening I don’t think we’ll come back. The tall, thin waiter was sarcastic and disagreeable, and a waiter shouldn’t make customers feel uncomfortable. We ordered the cheapest drinks and dish so we could leave quickly. We’d been up for a fish supper, but we’ll spend our money somewhere that makes us feel comfortable.
