Apartamentos Cordial Mogán Valle

The location makes getting around easy: it’s in the middle of Mogan, about a ten-minute walk from the beach, with local restaurants nearby and one at the property. There’s a supermarket and bus station close by, so exploring Gran Canaria is easy and inexpensive. The pools are pleasant, the bar and entertainment are good, and there are pool tables available day and night. I don’t have children, but the play area always seems busy. Staff are consistently welcoming, from the housekeeping and bar teams to everyone we pass. We’ve stayed here year after year for about seven years, and it feels like home. We book a superior apartment, which is worth the upgrade: high ceilings make it feel spacious, the air conditioning cools quickly, and the room has what we need for two weeks, including great cooking facilities and a huge bathroom. I love coming back.

We’ve stayed here five times now and love the place, especially the staff. Our one-bedroom superior room has always been self-catering. It would be better with an oven as well as the microwave. The location is great and quiet, with a good supermarket across from the apartments.

The main draw for us was Puerto Mogan old city. Taking that into account, it’s good value, though considerably more expensive than similar resorts elsewhere in Gran Canaria. Staff and service were great. The simple spa area is well kept and not crowded, so it feels like good value. The location is good, although it’s a walk down to the harbor, which is manageable even with kids. The rooms and shared spaces are run down, though: soundproofing is poor, the toilet has a glass door with no soundproofing, shower water leaks out, and there’s no toilet ventilation. The bars are quite expensive. Kids’ services are basic, but should be fine if your children aren’t spoiled. The animation staff deserve credit for being positive and doing their best with a very limited budget.

The people working here were great, whether at reception, the bars and restaurant, or in cleaning and maintenance. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. The restaurant has a good range of food, especially grilled fish. There are three pools; we used the North pool, about 25 metres long, and it was good for a swim when quiet early or late in the day. The complex is lovely and well kept. Some say the rooms are dated, but ours were clean and looked after. It’s about five minutes from the beach and marina, in a beautiful part of Gran Canaria. We went on a family holiday in October with EasyJet holidays, which was good value. Mogan is probably the nicest place I’ve stayed in the Canaries. Thank you, Cordial and all your staff.
