We turned up for a family meal without booking, though I'd suggest making a reservation as it may get busy. The food was such a lovely surprise, and the staff were excellent. I'd especially recommend the ribs and cheesecake. My daughter loved the chicken goujons, and so did I.

There's a small menu, but it's all prepared brilliantly and seems really thought through. The Italian host is chatty and knows the dishes, so listen to his recommendations. You can see the chef working in the dining area, and the meat was cooked to a very high standard. I'm a bit of a foodie. The ribs were far better than I expected, tender with a sweet and savoury flavour and a little heat. The generous fillet steak was cooked medium rare, one of the best steaks I've had, and the peppercorn sauce was brilliant too. Great music and a really nice atmosphere.

I don't usually write reviews, but this meal completely blew me away. The small menu meant the food tasted fresh, and every bite was a sensation. We had chicken wings with Mojitto sauce, fillet steak with an amazing side salad, then cheesecake. None of it was overly complicated, but my taste buds are still buzzing. Everything about the venue and service was spot on. The Italian waiter was so exuberant that I wasn't sure about him at first, but he grew on me, and the kids were in awe. His manager was much cooler and calmer, while he brought all the flair. They worked well together. It was €25 per person for three courses. With my glass of red wine, the bill came to about €60. We felt almost guilty, like we were robbing them. In Dublin, where we live, this restaurant could charge €50-€100 per head. If I could give it a sixth star, I would. It was one of the most unexpected meals I've had.

A cosy, nice bar with really attentive staff. Special thanks to the Dutch waitress and the Swedish owner, who gave my son and me a ride to Arguineguin so we wouldn't have to wait for the rest of our group. Wishing you all the best!
