Holiday Club Vista Amadores

We got home yesterday after five nights here for my wife's birthday, and have already booked for next October. We had a one-bedroom apartment, room 105, and it was perfect for us. Though it was beside the road, that made getting to the car quick. The balcony loungers got full sun from around 12:30 until sunset, so afternoons outside were great. The hotel is quiet, with good parking out front. Staff were helpful and nice, and our 100 euro arrival deposit was returned by 3pm on the day we left. The pool was warm and clean, but bring towels, since the room ones are a bit small. The gym is reasonable and adequate for a quick session, though it could use more free weights. We didn't use the very small restaurant, and breakfast didn't look like much. There's a well-equipped kitchen in the room, but supermarket food is so expensive that eating out is pretty much cheaper. The walk down to Amadores beach and back is tough, but we like getting our steps in. We also walked to Puerto Rico and back, just over 10 miles that day, which is doable when there's no rush on holiday. I think the location is good: the europa Center, with lots of places to eat and bars, is around a 10-minute walk, and you can reach Peurto Rico via Amadores. We hired a car, and I'd advise doing that, bringing comfortable walking shoes, and enjoying the great view. If you're after a clean, quiet hotel with a great view, don't hesitate to book.

Very disappointing. Just 24 hours before our flight, we were moved from this hotel to another one that was nowhere near what we'd booked and wasn't the quality we expected. Be very careful when booking.

Without a car, getting around isn't very convenient. The walks to and from the beach or town can feel long and tiring, especially in the heat. Even so, the apartments are clean and comfortable, well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The view is amazing and the service is excellent. With a car, this would be a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday, and the comfort and quality made the stay worthwhile.

Lovely apartments and pool, though being on the shady side of the valley and not having a car makes things difficult. I'd still go again.
