Puerto Principe

It’s a very nice, quiet little apartment hotel, with a great view and a rooftop pool overlooking Puerto Rico Bay and the Atlantic ocean. The cleaning lady comes five days a week, which is included. I’d highly recommend it. The one reason I’m taking off a star is that there’s no meal service, so you have to make breakfast and other meals yourself or eat out.

Juan at reception and Elvira, who does the cleaning, are both so kind and welcoming. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the rooftop has a nice pool and sun beds. The curtains are see-through in both the bedroom and main area, which we didn’t like. It’s also a bit far from the city center and beach.

We had a relaxing five days here, and I’m glad we found it. The location is peaceful, with sea, beach and harbour views, and the clean pool is tidy and great. Right outside the front door there’s a shaded grassy area with your own little sunbeds. The place is stunning, very modern and clean, and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept in on holiday. The flats are cleaned every day. A lovely man met us there and was incredibly helpful. He gave us two sets of keys, which was handy since my partner and I came and went at different times. He could watch football while I did my own thing, and neither of us had to go find the other for the key. Most places only give you one set. I’d definitely recommend this relaxing place. Five stars, and I’d give it ten out of ten. We’ll be back next time we’re in puerto-rico. Thank you.

At Puerto Principe, we had a great time. The apartments are roomy and comfortable, and the beds made for a good night’s sleep. The pool stays clean and quiet, and Elvira, the cleaning lady, was fantastic, always kind, attentive and available. The one small drawback is that the curtains aren’t blackout, so light gets in early in the morning. That’s why I’ve given it four stars instead of five. Still, it was a pleasant stay and I’d highly recommend it.
