We paid over £4,000 for this holiday and came away feeling it wasn't worth our hard-earned money. Puerto de mogan itself is a five-star place, with lovely scenery and restaurants, but the apartment's location and problems spoiled the trip. It was such a shame. We don't pay to go away to feel uncomfortable and deal with all this. I gave one star for the location of the apartment. At first, the reception area looked amazing, and the receptionist who greeted us at 8pm was lovely and welcoming. She explained the usual procedure and gave us a map, but we got lost following it and had to ask a few people for directions. Once we found the apartment, we dragged our cases up one flight of stairs. The card keys wouldn't open the door, so we went back to reception. The receptionist activated them, but after carrying our luggage upstairs again, they still didn't work. We called reception, and she sent a maintenance man. There was a fault with the door, and he had to fix it there and then. After travelling since 8:30 in the morning and arriving around 6:30pm, this was the last thing we expected. We were told at reception that the apartment wouldn't be cleaned the next day because it had already been cleaned that day. If it had been cleaned, why hadn't anyone fixed the door or reported the fault? The apartment was actually very dusty, with a big piece missing from the wall and dust all over the floor. It looked lovely at first and had recently been refurbished, but other faults became clear: mould on the bathroom ceiling above the shower, and a large gap in the frame at the balcony door. When it was windy, the curtains moved and the apartment felt cold. The staff were very noisy from 6:30 every morning, waking us up by shouting. The maids, maintenance workers and others seemed to shout at the top of their voices. We kept hearing someone call “Maria,” along with a horn or something beeping. We'd gone away for peace and a lie-in, since at home we have to get up at 5am for work. That really let the apartment down. On several occasions, the maid came in to leave clean towels and empty the bins, but missed the bathroom bin. A few times, we came back to find the front door open and the apartment unsecured, apparently because the door and window had been left open. Our apartment was number 211.

The pool and bar area were a real highlight: spotless, with plenty of sun loungers and a great choice of food and drinks. You could even get bar service at the poolside. The apartments were first class, modern and spacious, definitely 4*+. They were cleaned every day with fresh towels and a tea towel. We stayed in the quieter part of town, though nowhere felt particularly noisy. Best holiday ever, and I couldn't have asked for more.

The beds were the one drawback. They're very hard and I couldn't have slept on them as they were, but the man at reception sent over memory foam toppers straight away, which made for a good night's sleep. The apartment itself was lovely and in an excellent area. It's a little dated, but very clean and laid out well. Cleaners came five days out of seven to tidy, change towels and make the beds, and even washed a few dishes. They were friendly, and the service at reception in the main hotel was excellent throughout. It's a safe, relaxing place with guests of all ages, plenty of places to eat and drink, and no bars blaring loud music. Thanks, Livvo Hotel.

On our second visit, a man seemed to follow me near the parking lot after dinner. A couple on an electric scooter had nearly hit us as we were walking back. My husband hurried to our room while I went to buy drinks and water. It was dark, and the man kept appearing nearby even after I changed direction a few times. I got to the shop, then hurried back to the hotel. At reception I started filming him. He walked past with a younger woman and noticed me recording. We reported it, but the receptionist didn't take it seriously. Later, the man came back near our veranda, and reception still did nothing when I called again. My husband had to step in and make clear he'd act if the man came any closer. Fortunately, three police officers arrived a few minutes later. I showed them the video, they recognized the man immediately and went after the couple. They were quick and professional, and I'm very grateful to them. We still love Puerto de Mogán, but the reception's response was disappointing. Guest safety should be a priority in a family-friendly place that gets so many tourists. We stayed at Apartamentos LIVVO Puerto de Mogán from December 25th to 28th, 2024, our second time there, and had a lovely stay overall. It's right in the heart of beautiful Puerto de Mogán, a short walk from the beach, restaurants and marina. The harbor, with its shops and restaurants, is only a few minutes away, and the beach is about five minutes on foot. The apartments are nicely furnished, clean, and have verandas facing a peaceful garden. The cleaning staff came every morning, which we appreciated. A special thank you to Gemma, who was wonderful both times. We love you, Gemma! The early sunrise is beautiful, and the sunsets later in the day are just as stunning. There's a local market in town every Friday, worth a look if you like handmade items, souvenirs and local goods. The area is very touristy, though, and the food can be hit or miss. Some places are really nice, but others feel overpriced or average. The apartments could use an upgrade. The furniture is a bit dated and the beds aren't very comfortable, which we noticed on both visits. One of our room keys didn't work either, a small problem but worth mentioning. It's a lovely place with a fantastic location, relaxing atmosphere and helpful people like Gemma. With updated apartments and better attention to guest safety, it could be truly perfect.

Fantastic apartments, with everything you could think of provided. I'd happily stay here again. It's a great place.
