The staff were lovely, which is why I’d give this a three-star rating, though I’d call it a two-star apartment building. We booked two rooms: one was nicely modernised and very good for the price, while the other was dated and felt like what you’d expect to pay for. I’d have expected both rooms to be equally modern. The bathroom had a strange smell, and the cleaners didn’t come regularly, but apart from that we couldn’t complain. Be prepared to pay a 100 euro deposit by card for each room. When we went in September, it was card only.

There isn’t much right nearby, but shops, bars and restaurants are about a 30-minute walk away. For a cheap stay, these basic apartments have what you need, plus large balconies and a pool area. Even during peak season, I never saw anyone using the pool. There’s a small shop and coffee shop on site, and you can park on the street.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and we had a great stay. One surprise was the €200 deposit, which we hadn’t been told about, though we got it back on our last day. The hotel only accepted credit cards. Otherwise, it’s a very welcoming place.

I urgently needed to use the phone, but the light-brown-haired woman at reception refused, saying she had more important things to do. What a disgrace. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The apartment and especially the balcony were amazing, and I’d happily come back. It was my first time staying here and I really loved it. I’d booked bed and breakfast, but the breakfast wasn’t nice unless you just wanted toast and doughnuts. The hot food was poor. That was the only letdown, though there’s other food nearby, so don’t let it put you off.
