Eli gave us excellent suggestions for places to have lunch and dinner, and treated us wonderfully. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the facilities felt luxurious. The house itself was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend it. Thanks so much, Eli!

A lovely spot for a romantic getaway. Our room was carefully prepared before we arrived, with the heating on. The views were beautiful, and the bathroom had a good shower. The bed was comfortable, though a bit narrow. Our hostess also suggested places for dinner and breakfast.

The room was spacious and clean, with good views and a comfortable bed. I liked the charming local-style decor, the full-length mirrored wardrobe, and having chairs and a desk to put our things on. There’s a small balcony, but its narrow doors let in very little sunlight. The bathroom is really outdated, with a bathtub instead of a shower. The toilet takes ages to flush, and getting the shower temperature right is a struggle, it swings between scalding and freezing before it settles. You can hear quite a bit from the adjoining rooms and the owner’s apartment upstairs. The house is medieval-style and made of wood. Getting to the room means climbing a very steep old wooden staircase, which makes carrying luggage difficult. Parking is impossible across the area. If you’re very lucky, you might find a spot at the top of a cobbled ramp. Going down is manageable, but hauling luggage back up the steep slope and over the village cobblestones is tough. The nightly price was very good, and the village is beautiful and peaceful, one of the prettiest in Spain!

Nothing about the room let us rest or feel comfortable. There was noise from upstairs that kept us awake, including more noise at 3 a.m. The room didn’t feel rustic or rural to me, just gloomy. I’m from a village and know what an old rural house is like, and Casa Lucía doesn’t fit that description. We couldn’t even figure out how to get in when we arrived, and were given the room key, at least it was a separate room. The bathroom had no toilet paper, there were cobwebs in the corners, and the room smelled damp, musty, and dusty. The sheets and bedspread were dirty, and we didn’t use the pillow because it was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned or the sheets changed. It didn’t feel worth the full payment, but we paid out of respect. A bad stay, to put it mildly!
