Living Valencia Apartamentos - Edificio Rumbau

The apartment was in the city center, right beside Mercado Central on the quiet Plaza de la Merced. It had modern furniture after a full refurbishment, free WI-FI, a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, and an efficient cleaning service. I spent a week there on holiday in summer 2012 and felt the warmth of Spanish hospitality. The staff were wonderful, helped with all our requests, gave us useful information, and arranged tickets for the City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanographic. I’d definitely recommend this property.

We appreciated how friendly and professional the staff were. The apartment is in an area suited to people looking for nightlife, which is normal for this part of Valencia. It’s directly above a bar that stays open late, so there was quite a noisy pile of empty bottles early in the morning. The windows face another apartment across the street at about 4-meters distance, and they don’t have noise insulation.

The flat we were given was literally a different one from the photos on the website when we booked. We complained and hoped for a refund since that’s illegal, but I’m absolutely fuming. This feels like a scam, and they’re thieves. Book somewhere else.

The apartment was clean, big, and nice, and the staff were friendly. The location is excellent, right downtown, with lots of shops and restaurants outside and a short walk to just about anything. You can rent a bike right outside and ride to city of sciences or bioparc (zoo).
