Pierre & Vacances Mojacar Playa

We loved these apartments and will definitely come back next year. Ours had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge balcony with sun loungers and a dining area, and even an outdoor spot for drying washing. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, crockery, pans and a dishwasher. Everything was clean and well equipped. They're in the quieter end of town, which was a great location. Towels and sheets were changed weekly, and reception could provide fresh towels in between.

A lovely apartment for an incredible New Year's Eve price. I had to repair the toilet flush mechanism, though, and the outside of the building is starting to need work. That's why I'm giving it four stars.

The photos gave a much better impression than the place itself. It's tired and dated, with rock-hard, cheap mattresses that may be the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. I've stayed at three other Pierre and vacancies across Spain and they were all good, but this one feels as if they've lost interest. It was dirty too. There was grease on the inside of the shower curtain, so who knows when it was last changed or cleaned. The inside of the fridge was filthy as well, at a time when the whole world is being super cautious about hygiene. The whole building feels unloved and unclean, with cheap beds. We won't be back. Now we know, you can get much better accommodation in mojacar playa for the same money.

A nice, spacious apartment with both an upper and lower terrace, at a reasonable price: £575 a month, with electricity and internet included. Lovely views of the sea and mountains. 👍👍👍
