Lunch when we arrived was very good, and the staff at the wedding were excellent. The room itself, though, was noisy, and getting ready for a wedding was tricky without a full-length mirror or hairdryer. I was also disappointed that hotel guests don’t get breakfast. If there’s no continental option, at least bottled water in the room would be good. This would have been a four-star stay otherwise.

The food was well cooked, nicely presented, and high quality, so I’d recommend the place. We had to eat in the courtyard because there weren’t any tables inside, but the staff out there were willing and helpful. It’s a huge events centre with hotel facilities, though the dining area for the general public seemed surprisingly small when we visited. The menu had enough options, but you could only view it via QR code, as printed menus weren’t available. It’s on the outskirts of Alameda in Málaga Province, and there’s no public transport, so you need your own transport.

We’ve eaten here quite a few times, for lunch and the menu del dia as well as a handful of evening meals. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. On our first visit, we asked for two starters and a main, but they suggested sharing one starter because the portions are so big. That was good advice. I’m already looking forward to eating outside in summer.

The solomillo with pepper sauce was stunning, and the spaghetti starter was really nice with a very generous portion. Friendly, good service and pleasant surroundings too. I’ll be back.
