Rural Casona Detorres
About this property
La Casona de Torres, a former family estate dating back to the early 1900s, opened its doors as a rural hotel in April 2005 following extensive renovations. The ground floor features a reception area, lounge, and restaurant situated in the charming courtyard. Guests can also enjoy the cafeteria and reading room. A meeting room is available for business meetings, private dinners, and parties. The second and third floors house four suites, three junior suites, and nine rooms suitable for double or individual occupancy. Each room boasts unique, individual decor. The hotel is characterized by its warm, classic design, with special touches and details evident throughout the suites and rooms. All accommodations include air conditioning, a private bathroom, telephone, Wi-Fi, a 32-inch flat-screen LED TV with USB, music in the bathroom and bedroom, exterior windows, and bathroom amenities. Each room is named after a local landmark in Mondejar. The hotel restaurant seats up to 100 people, and the meeting room accommodates up to 30.

I left a sweater behind by accident, and the staff mailed it to me without charging for postage. They were just as helpful when they let me keep my bike in a store-room, and the customer service was great. The beds are comfortable, and the windows do a good job of keeping out noise, so I slept well. I love this place. The hotel also seems to own, or at least work closely with, the popular bar on the main square. Together they feel like the heart of this pleasant little town.

I didn’t see the hotel rooms, so I can’t comment on the rest of the hotel, but the food at its quaint restaurant is tops and deserves five stars. The set menu was absolutely divine. Every plate was beautifully presented on different crockery, and they brought clean cutlery with each dish. The waiters were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. It’s rare for me to praise both food and service this much. I highly recommend making the trip to this village.

The room was lovely, with tasteful furniture and a four poster bed. We had a warm welcome, great food, and a lovely breakfast. Fabulous hotel, and we very much hope to stay again.

Priceless. The room at this amazing Hotel Rural was fantastic, with a wide variety of decor and views of the town hall. I highly recommend trying dinner at the restaurant, as shown in the pictures.

The breakfast was very good, and the sandwich mixto we ordered was fine. The barman was very quick, and the atmosphere was quiet. Nice to relax on a sofa with a beer.
