We brought our dog along and spent a few happy days exploring nearby. The restaurant was another highlight: we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and all the meals were creative, delicious, and high quality. Eating inside the old abbey made it feel even more special. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with a historic abbey and lovely natural surroundings. Our modern, comfortable room fit neatly into the landscape and offered privacy and great views. The bed was especially comfortable, and the short walk from the main abbey building was easy. The old stone church and the thoughtfully designed cube style rooms made for a memorable stay. We’d happily come back.

The views are stunning, and the idea of having separate cube rooms is great. But the place seems well past its best and needs serious renovation and upkeep. The room fireplace could have been lovely, but the wood was so wet it wouldn’t catch. The shower tiles and bathtub looked dirty or water stained, which put me off enough that I skipped washing. We only had breakfast, not dinner; breakfast was decent, with plenty of buffet choices.

We had a lovely weekend at Consolacíon hotel as a couple. The cube room’s view was incredible, and there’s everything you need to tend the fireplace. The restaurant food was great too. Valderrobres and other cute villages are nearby, so the drive out to this quiet, secluded spot was worth it.

We liked the restaurant, so try to eat there at least once. If you can, ask for Cube 3, it probably has the best view.

Aora and Gloria made us feel welcome and took care of all the little details. We had delicious breakfasts and lovely dinners, and the service was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, with peaceful surroundings and incredible views. The rooms are strikingly decorated and offer plenty of privacy. Such a great weekend.
