The house is stylish in a way the photos don’t really show, with polished concrete floors, high ceilings, and doors opening onto a terrace covered in vines. I stayed in the “barn” casita for a month in October last year and loved the peace and quiet. There’s a good collection of books, plus an oven and gas hob. A picturesque 45-minute walk takes you up to Montanchez, and Merida and Caceres are about a 30-minute drive away. Perfect if you’re not after TV and microwave meals on vacation, like the reviewer below.
