The house itself is nice, but there was no quality relaxation for us: dust, cobwebs, and a dirty floor. Then, despite telling us in advance, at 11:30 a.m. they said we had to leave within half an hour because the next guests had a reservation, even though we could have stayed until 6:00 p.m. I won’t come back. This was completely unprofessional.

We left right away. We were staying at a different rural guesthouse, and stopped at Bar Pitogordo for a drink. The waiter offered us a stay at his own guesthouse and a free day. Treating another establishment in the village that way felt quite unprofessional.

The bar had a broken chair, and the service and treatment were poor and rude. We ordered ham and four glasses of wine, but got five slices on a dessert plate, two glasses of cheap wine, and two beers. The bill came to €25. It made us feel like tourists in our own country. I wouldn't go back, and this kind of place does a lot of harm to a privileged area like Montánchez.

The one thing I missed this time was being able to see the menu. They'd shown it on earlier visits, but perhaps because of COVID it wasn't visible now, and that detail is always appreciated. That's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. We try to eat here whenever we visit Montánchez because the service is so friendly and the food is delicious and high-quality.
