The restaurant downstairs serves decent food, and the staff were friendly. The rooms are comfortable enough, with vintage touches like wrought-iron bedsteads. This old-fashioned little hotel sits right on the central square beside the church and ayuntamiento, and feels like the natural place to stay in town. The bar and restaurant draw what seems like the whole town, so there’s a lot of activity at all hours. Earplugs might come in handy. A very authentic experience.

We stopped for a drink and some ice cream while cycling today. The place was clean and pleasant, and the man who served us was really friendly.

It’s been under new management since October and they’re renovating, including putting in new windows and refreshing the bedroom decor. It should be fabulous by December. I’m really excited to see what Alberto and Samanta do with their new venture!
