Hotel Andalou

The owner, Beltran, is a great guy, very accommodating and happy to share his place with guests. The hotel has lovely views and amenities, and the hospitality was spectacular. It’s a quiet town, just right for getting away from everything and relaxing. I’d give Beltran 20 out of 5 for customer service, and the accommodation was flexible too.

We had a really nice stay during our cycling trip. The hotel was clean, had everything we needed, and breakfast was a nice buffet. It’s an easy walk to other restaurants. The owner was incredibly helpful, sorting dinner reservations, lending a hand with our bikes, and even carrying our heavy bags upstairs.

This family run hotel was such a good find. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, and the place felt authentic and a pleasure to stay in. The rooms were clean, with a spectacular view. We stayed a couple of weeks ago and happened to book during Montellano’s annual festival. A lot of places nearby were closed at first, but the staff helped us work out where to go and when, before things got going later on. Highly recommended!

The only warm spot seemed to be beside the sitting room fire, usually where a group of elderly visitors sat listening to the owner hold court. The rooms felt bare and cold, even though it was 12 degrees outside. The honesty bar had no apparent white wine, and the red was already open, corked, and sitting in the FRIDGE! We were three cyclists from the Cary family, staying at this awful hotel in mid February a few days ago. The arrogant owner seemed to cut every corner to save money. We arrived drenched in the late afternoon and there was no food available. It poured with rain after that, so cycling or walking to the village wasn’t really an option. Our bikes were left beneath a very leaky canvas, and only after a while were black plastic bags grudgingly given to us. Our biking company said they’d been pestering him for years to improve the situation. Fawlty Towers has nothing on this place. Visit at your peril.
