The village itself is tiny and full of charm. In summer, cows wander freely and may even show up just outside your door. Montesclado felt wonderfully secluded, far from everyday worries, with time seeming to slow down. We stayed in a converted barn and were looked after so well by the couple running the rural guesthouse. The rooms were cozy, with breathtaking views, and breakfast was magnificent: local cured meats and bread with tomato. It was a peaceful, relaxing stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

The quiet was what I appreciated most, and every detail in the dining room, living room, and shared spaces felt thoughtfully arranged with care. The rooms were spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. I’ve lived for five decades and never had hosts as wonderful as Xavi and Carmen. They made us feel right at home and took such good care of us. The breakfast was delicious, excellent, and incredibly complete, with locally sourced products. Life is full of surprises. The family-run hotel had friendly, attentive service, and the included breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very comfortable. A spectacular setting for disconnecting and enjoying a lovely weekend. We’d definitely return.
