The host was lovely and very helpful, though she only speaks Spanish. Breakfast came with great coffee, toast and jam, juice cartons, and packaged cakes. The guest house has an old-fashioned charm, with period furniture and art throughout. It's an easy walk into the town centre, and Cordoba is about a 40-minute drive away.

May is a friendly hostess and an artist, with her work for sale in the hotel dining room. She can also make meals if you order. Everything else was good, but the shower water kept switching from hot to cold without warning.

The staff were so kind, and we had a lovely time over a typical dinner paired with fino tasting. Lujo Pobre was a peaceful place to unwind while getting to know Montilla's wine specialties. They also took us to a cellar where we could visit and buy good-quality wine. The facilities were elegant and beautiful. A very good experience.

The house was beautifully decorated and spotless. The owner is a very nice lady, and she's also a painter. Her artwork is available to buy at reasonable prices.

The personal touch made this place feel nice. The rooms were clean, with good beds, and the value was better than at other places in Montilla.
