Inside Barcelona Apartments Esparteria

The unit is close to great restaurants and sights in El Born, though people out for late dinners and drinks make Friday and Saturday nights noisy. It was tolerable, and we'd stay here again when we're back in Barcelona. We were in Principle 1, a very comfortable, spacious unit with good beds, room to move around, and a bright, clean bathroom with a shower and tub. The living room had plenty of seating, and the kitchen worked well for smaller meals, with a good range of utensils and appliances. A washing machine was handy, but there was no detergent on site; we found it for a few € at a store a few blocks away. The unit is on the second floor, reached by a narrow winding staircase that would be tough with large suitcases, but the small elevator worked great. The simple app for entering the building and unit also worked great and explained the apartment's features and how to use them.

The location was great, and everything there was excellent. If I return to Barcelona, I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

The staff were so welcoming and really helped us when Spain had a power outage, including helping us figure out how to get to the airport. Thank you! We had a lovely two-night stay in the apartment. The living room was very spacious, and the little balcony overlooking the street was beautiful.

The apartment was a decent base for exploring Barcelona, with shops, food, drinks, and snacks just steps away. The local bars nearby also meant it could get noisy at night, and the place lacked some comforts, so I’d look for another option next time. It might suit friends splitting the cost or a family like ours looking for a cheap, short break. Getting through the digital door lock was a problem at first, but the office is downstairs and someone came within minutes to show us how it worked. Inside, the kitchen was decent and had a fridge, kettle, and microwave. The living area was small but fine for four. One bedroom was very small, with just enough space for two single beds and a wardrobe, while the double bedroom was more spacious and comfortable. The dining table was pushed up against a wall. The building entrance needed some upkeep and a bit of beautifying. Having stayed in several Barcelona apartments, I’m used to that and waited to see what the apartment itself was like. The stairs were very narrow and the small lift could take two people, or three squeezed in without bags.
