Pensió Cerdanya

The location is practical, with a metro station nearby, and the air conditioning worked well. The elevator is small but fine for one person at a time. For the price, it’s an acceptable place to stay, but be prepared for noise and outdated facilities. Pensió Cerdanya feels worn and could use updates. Sound insulation is very poor: there are residential apartments in the building, and a small dog in the flat above barked constantly. I could also hear guests in the next room watching TV. Another annoyance was that I couldn’t lock the door from inside when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was hanging outside. Cleanliness was generally okay, though I found a couple of hairs in the bathroom. The room was tiny, with an unnecessary wall dividing part of it. Without that wall it would feel more open. The toilet sits in a nook that’s much too cramped for an adult. The mattress was extremely hard, even for someone like me who usually likes firm ones. The TV was tiny and mounted so high that it was difficult to watch. The shower had a high step and a narrow entrance. There was a smoking terrace beside my room, and the smell came inside whenever I opened the balcony door. Booking.com lists the room as having a terrace, but it’s really just a door that opens, not a usable terrace.
