Can Barrina

Can Barrina looked stunning, and I hadn’t seen stars like that in years. My sister’s wedding there was amazing. Marta, the organiser, went above and beyond to make the day special and let us enjoy it without worrying about anything. The food was incredible, fresh and inventive, and everyone loved the wine. The team even found a room at the last minute so a friend could stay. They were wonderful. It’s a lovely venue for a wedding or a weekend away.

The warm lighting, wood, and cosy 60s and 70s decor make Can Barrina feel romantic, and every stay we’ve had has been flawless. It’s tucked away in the quiet, dramatic Montseny mountains, but easy to reach from Barcelona by car or public transport. The staff are warm and kind, and the in-house restaurant serves delicious local ingredients in traditional Catalan dishes. Thank you, Can Barrina, for everything. x

The relaxed atmosphere made for a lovely lunch at this beautiful property. We’d taken a walk around Can Barrina and ordered the entrecôte and cod with vegetables. Both were really tasty, and I liked that the cooking let the ingredients’ original flavors come through. It was my first time trying the plum dessert, and I’ll order it again whenever I see it on the menu 😊. The service was great too.

The food was the highlight of my two-day work retreat at Can Barrina. It was delicious and made with local ingredients, and breakfast came with local farm cheese and yogurts among lots of other options. They also had good vegan choices when needed. The rooms were beautiful, the team was very accommodating, and the surrounding area was lovely. There’s a pool as well.
