La Morona Hotel

The first thing to know is that the little fountain-looking fixture in the bathroom is a bidet. The WiFi was spotty in my room, though that seems to depend on which room you get, and the rooms are cozy. They were renovating during the off season when I visited, but you can feel how much life, charm, and love has gone into La Morona. It's the most memorable hotel I've stayed in. I was here for almost two weeks on business, and Yolanda and Miguel made my coworkers and me feel like family. They're honestly some of the nicest people I've met. Fresh espresso was available each morning, or really whenever you wanted it. The chef made different food for lunch and dinner, and all 12 or so meals I ate were delicious. Most evenings there was a local football match on in the lobby, so you could have dinner, drink wine, and watch. When Real Betis played, it turned into a watch party with lots of festivities. ¡Mucho Betis! La Morona sits among olive orchards and beautiful fields just outside Morón, Spain. Sevilla is less than an hour away, and it's a lovely quiet spot if you don't want the bustle of a big city. I've never felt so welcomed or cared for at a hotel. I'll never forget you, La Morona, and hope you have lots of success in the years ahead.
