Hotel Costa Andaluza

The breakfast was excellent, and the man who runs the restaurant was so helpful and kind to my Mother and me. Staff throughout the hotel have been really, really kind and helpful over my several stays, when my Mother was having ongoing treatment at Motril hospital. They let us check in well ahead of time when she was feeling unwell. The room has always been great, with panoramic views of the mountains and down to the sea. Comfortable beds, good quality linen, plenty of towels, decent toiletries, and a clean room with everything you need. Wifi works well, the blackout blinds are good, there’s lots of airflow, and the bathroom is good. There’s a lift to every floor, and shops, bakeries, and a supermarket are all within a five-minute walk.

You get exactly what you pay for here, and the staff are lovely and welcoming. The restaurant just next door is fantastic, with great food. The views stretch across motril and the mountains. I’ve stayed a couple of times and have missed the place for too long. Looking forward to going back.

It was fine for one night, but I wouldn’t want to stay much longer. There’s road noise and air-conditioning noise, and at first there were no pillows. We also had a bit of a language barrier, which we sorted out through interpretive dance. No power sockets by the bed, and no safe or fridge. It is nice and cheap, though.

The food was cheap, and the service was personable. The hotel is modest and near a hospital, with underground parking at a discounted rate. It badly needs a refurb, but we liked that it was warm, cosy, comfortable, and had windows on two sides. Our dog liked it too 😀 Just a heads-up, the bed’s headboard may be loose! 😋
