The beach was clean, the staff friendly, and the room huge with acceptable amenities. We spent a week at this beautiful hotel. Food was delicious, though the selection was limited and the overall food was average. The elevator in the Alhambra building was so dirty it looked abandoned, so I used the stairs instead. I also thought the pool was included with half board, but we were charged for it and for parking. The hotel's charm, the beach, the food, and the city helped us forget those negatives.

We arrived on the evening of the 24th for Christmas, and Eva gave us such a warm welcome. The hotel is beautiful, and our Christmas Eve buffet meal was all classical. Our room, 2007 Cordoba, was clean, warm, and furnished just right. The restaurant staff are amazing, and even the guy at the lobby bar made the atmosphere feel welcoming. The boys love having a football pitch, tennis, and a gym all here. They practically live in the gym and on the pitch. We're loving our stay and hope to enjoy the rest of our days. It's almost 100 km from Malaga, so book a taxi online!

We arrived early in the morning and were allowed to start using the all-inclusive straight away. Service was quick, and our room was ready by 3 pm. The rooms were spotless, food options varied, and everyone was respectful. The pool area was clean and the entertainment very good. Cocktails at the skybar cost extra, but they're well worth it.

I stayed in September, and the grounds were beautiful and well looked after, from the lobby and pools to the gardens. The location is good, there's enough sunbeds by the sea, and the beach was clean. It had everything needed for a great holiday. A few things kept it from being a five-star stay. The reception was my worst experience after visiting more than 30 hotels around the world: rude from beginning to end and not very helpful. Locals and French visitors seemed to get the priority and biggest smiles. In the restaurant, especially on the chairs, the cleanliness reminded me of Egypt/Tunis. They were shockingly dirty, with little bits of food everywhere, and the problem kept coming back even after I mentioned it to staff. A ten-minute check before each meal service could prevent it. Also, the bedsheets weren't changed unless you left some EUR as a tip.

AVA SANCHEZ AND HER COLLEAGUES ARE BRILLIENT! FIVE STARS! When we had the usual hotel issues with young, boisterous neighbours, their professionalism and quick handling sorted things out. The front-of-house and housekeeping teams were charming and fun, and the dining-room staff were just as lovely, with big smiles and efficient service for every request.
