The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the hotel sits in a convenient central spot in Barcelona. The breakfast box was the one letdown. You can’t pick what goes into it, and the result was a pretty poor breakfast with a lot of food wasted. It also came with loads of single-use packaging, which felt quite unsustainable. I cancelled it after the first day and ate breakfast elsewhere for the rest of my stay.

There’s nothing fancy about this hotel, but it handles the basics that matter well. A real person is at reception, and the facilities are generally good. I did notice a few signs of wear, but I slept well and had a good shower in the morning. A fine example of a city-center hotel. The room itself was quiet, with very little street noise. The doors and windows fit well, and the minibar sits behind a cupboard door. The air conditioning can be set low, at a reasonable level. The beds are comfortable but on the firm side. Blackout curtains work very well, and the room stays dark without lots of bright lights from devices. The neighborhood is pleasant, and transport links are excellent, including to and from the airport.

No frills, and easy to use. The room was very clean, the receptionists were friendly, and the location was great. They even put chips, wine, and a bunch of drinks in the minibar for free. All we wanted was a clean spot to sleep and shower, and it delivered.

There are plenty of great local places to eat just around the corner. The staff were welcoming and supportive, and the hotel’s fantastic location made sightseeing really convenient.
