Casa rural El Leñador

We had loads of room, especially in the bedrooms, and each one had its own bathroom. The living and dining area was big and well supplied, while the kitchen was compact but had all the utensils and appliances we needed. The house is detached and rustic, with thoughtful country-style decor. It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We couldn't have asked for more.

Dori, the owner, was so friendly and attentive. The house itself is spotless, with a lovely rustic feel, a fireplace, and a barbecue. It's about twenty minutes from downtown Avila, so it's a good fit if you want peace and quiet. There's also an excellent restaurant in the village, said to have the best steak in Avila. Wi-Fi would have been a nice extra, but otherwise everything was great.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the house was beautiful, spotless, and carefully equipped. The bathrooms were some of the best I've seen, with hairdryers and little shampoo and shower gel samples. The location was unbeatable, and we didn't miss any of the city's amenities. One of the best places I've stayed, and we'll be back as soon as we can.

The beds were clean and the heating worked well, and the owner was polite. But the kitchenware was dirty and very limited, there was no Wi-Fi, and there weren't any of the board games advertised online. They were short on firewood too, charging €15 for two loads. The house itself is fine, but I wouldn't return.
