The location was decent, near the bus station and about a 15-minute walk from the city centre bars. Staff were good, if not especially welcoming. The decor was modern, the water pressure was great, and the basics were provided, though there was no conditioner or body lotion. We got a small bottle of cava, and there were free cola-like drinks too, which I didn’t need. The room was tiny for what we paid, just under 200EUR a night on average. We could barely fit two small carry-on suitcases on the floor and still move around, and the bed was small too. With so little room to spend time in, the nice decor doesn’t count for much beyond sleeping. I’d probably choose a cheaper option if there were one.

The location is hard to beat, just a short walk from the La Concha beach boulevard, a beautiful and lively part of San Sebastian. The historic centre and great Basque restaurants are close too. Inside, it’s a clean, modern hotel with beautiful rooms, large terraces and lovely city views. The free minibar includes water and a small bottle of Cava, a nice touch. For a 3-star place, it has more charm and luxury than many hotels with more stars.

We slept so well here. The sound isolation was really, really good, whether the balcony was open or closed. I’m a light sleeper and usually wear earplugs, but didn’t need them during our stay. The room was great and the staff welcoming. There was a small complimentary bottle of cava in the room. I’d booked on the official website, where I could select it as a free welcome treat, which suited our stay nicely. There was cava on the ground floor for new guests as well, so check-in started off pretty well.

The staff were great and very professional, and the hotel was amazing. The room was very compact for two, though. Next time we’d probably choose a larger one, with more room for our two big suitcases and clothes. The lack of space is why I’m giving it 4 stars.

The location worked well, and we liked the complimentary drinks in the room and the coffee corner. The hotel was nice and the room good, though small, with basic amenities. We hadn’t realised everything would be closed on Sundays, which caught us out.
