Cooper, our 8-month-old Aussie, loved it just as much as I did. Can Riera is a cozy rural guesthouse where every little detail is taken care of, and we never lacked for anything. The walks and peaceful surroundings made it a lovely place to unwind. For our first night away from home after lockdown, finding somewhere this charming and dog-friendly only an hour from Barcelona was perfect. We had a wonderful stay and will be back.

Dayna had the best time, and we all came away feeling relaxed after a few days at Can Riera, surrounded by nature. The facilities were just right and the service was spectacular. It’s such a welcoming place, especially for people bringing their dogs. A big thank you to Can Riera for making our little family break possible. We had a SUPER time!!!!

Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer is the nearest town, and it’s charming, with the basic shops and services you might need. We spent four nights at the guesthouse and went around the region during the day. Its location is surprisingly good for somewhere so close to Barcelona. The rooms and shared spaces are arranged in an unusual way, with lounges where you can prepare a meal. It’s clearly popular with people who have dogs. I do think guests without dogs should know that dogs can roam around the common areas, dining room, and kitchen freely. I don’t see the need for that, and it doesn’t sit right with me.

Breakfast was delicious, and having it brought to the table in our private garden was a lovely touch. We stayed in the suite and really enjoyed it. It’s a wonderfully quiet spot for anyone wanting a break from the noise. Thanks for letting us play with Lua. We’ll be back!
