AC Hotel Murcia by Marriott

Carrefour is close by, and the little gym has a treadmill, weights, and room for yoga. Those were nice extras during our five-night stay. The hotel felt relaxed and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The general manager even offered complimentary breakfast to all guests, a thoughtful gesture. There was a good selection at breakfast, including several kinds of milk. We had a really lovely time and would happily come back or recommend it 👍🏻

The woman who made dinner and brought it to our room was such a sweetheart. She’d already closed the kitchen and finished her shift, but still helped us out. The staff were amazing.

The heating controls took some figuring out, and the thermostat system wasn’t easy to understand. The rooms themselves were good, and breakfast was good too. Staff were very helpful. There’s a supermarket one block away, with KFC, Burger King, and other restaurants nearby. A bus line is close, and the hotel is almost opposite the tram, so the town centre is easy to reach while it’s running. The tram stops before midnight, though, so it’s not ideal for nightlife. Good value for the price.

The employees were well trained and the service was good, but the hotel itself is in rough shape and the rooms need a refresh. Mine smelled like it had been smoked in, and the thermostat didn’t work. I found out the whole hotel uses central cooling and heat. For a place called a 4 star hotel, this felt more like a 2 star stay. The business and university district is safe and family oriented, but pretty boring if you don’t have a reason to be there. It’s not an ideal spot for nightlife.
