Masia De Lacy Hotel

The one real plus was the cold air conditioning in our room. The rest felt badly dated, with mismatched, pointless furniture and an enclosed terrace. Our room on the second floor had no WiFi, and the hotel's website wasn't working either. The shower was strangely set into a jetted tub, which I really didn't want to use. Food was bland. The lamb had so little flavor it could have been beef or pork, and came without vegetables or potatoes. Drinks were way overpriced: 30 euro for a glass of 16 year old scotch that sells for 100 euro a bottle. Check the bill too, since we were overcharged for a couple of different drinks. At checkout their credit card machine wouldn't start, so we ended up paying cash for the expensive drinks and bland food. There were lots of empty glasses and drinks left around the pool. Feral cats and kittens were roaming around, and should be taken to a vet to stop them multiplying. It feels like they put their money into adding event space instead of updating the rooms, which seem stuck in the 1940s.

Sebastian really looked after us and made sure we had a pleasant visit. The staff were attentive, and the location and hotel itself are lovely. We enjoyed the food and cocktails, especially the fresh tomato and goat cheese salad, the mussels, and the tasty artichoke and burrata dish. The little one liked her crispy chicken and fries, and loved the dessert too. We tried a variety of cakes. Afterward we relaxed by the pool with cocktails. It was our first time visiting from the UK while on holiday, and we'd surely come back on another holiday.

The landscaping is beautiful and the customer service was good, though the place needs some maintenance. There was mold on some of the walls.

Our wedding day there was absolutely stunning, and the service and organization were top notch. I'd avoid using their affiliated music service, though. Pay the extra and find someone else.
