Hotel Muskiz

I stayed here six years ago on my way from Poland to Santander, and I’d happily come back. The owners are friendly, the place is clean and comfortable, and the price is right. The hotel's location and history are excellent, and the wine is great. Greetings from Poland, see you soon.

Mikel is incredibly helpful from the first contact, and the service is excellent. Parking nearby is convenient, and the price is great. The people are lovely and attentive, and the value for money is spot on. Mikel makes the place feel personal and friendly.

The service and attention were not bad, but there were several problems. On arrival, the place looked abandoned, and the room felt very damp. If you're cold, there's no real option because they control the heating. You pay for a room but have to share it with other guests, and there were some pretty large spiders. It's right by a highway.

After a long journey on a cool, damp afternoon, the first thing I felt when I arrived was how warm and welcoming it was. Private parking is included in the friendly price, and it’s guarded by "Wolves." Just a two-minute walk away, the "El Haya" restaurant serves entrecote with potatoes and fried peppers for €9.50. Sea salt flakes and an excellent local wine made it just right for the occasion. My friend Mikel treats you gently and attentively. First he has to sniff you and decide he trusts you, then you get the same affection his admirable wife, Mrs. Thasia, gives him when she feeds him. My wolf, I’m stroking your back from here, that back forged in harsh mountains and blessed valleys.
