The most upsetting part of our stay was a safety incident at the pool. While we were checking the water temperature, our son slipped into the pool. He has ADHD and very little sense of danger, so we watch him closely. This wasn't due to a lack of supervision from us. The lifeguard was there but on his phone, listening to music, and didn't notice. My partner pulled our son out, but he was in real danger. He was badly shaken, cried, and had nightmares that night. It took a long time to comfort him and help him feel safe again. We'll remember that as parents. We also saw children wandering unsupervised around the bridge, with no staff stepping in, which kept us worried. When we raised our concerns with guest relations, they blamed new staff still learning. At times it felt as if the incident was being downplayed and we were treated as annoying guests. Training takes time, but children's safety shouldn't depend on staff learning on the job. We left upset, let down and shaken. We're usually easygoing and just wanted a relaxed family holiday, which made this especially disappointing. We paid far more than we'd expect for such poor service, and we're certain we'll never return. There were a few good points. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and most staff we met were friendly and polite. The food was good enough that we could usually find something to eat. But the all-inclusive setup was inconsistent and badly managed: there was only one kind of beer, and cocktails came from a machine, tasting too sweet and low quality. We weren't told when booking that some beers and cocktails would cost extra. One day a piña colada made on the spot was included, the next day it suddenly wasn't. Guest relations said new staff were still in training and that the hotel had an obligation to explain the charges, but no one had clearly done so. Even popcorn was only available until 6pm, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. It didn't feel like proper all-inclusive. The room also lacked basic comforts, with no tea, coffee or milk, which we'd normally expect even in lower-rated hotels. There was no lift, so we had to carry all our luggage ourselves. With my bad back, getting in and out was physically difficult and stressful. For a family resort, the whole experience fell well short of what we expected.

The children loved the clean pools, and the entertainment team made our stay unforgettable. We had a really good time at Jutlandia this October. Housekeeping came every day and left us fresh towels daily. There was a nice variety of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beach, shops and bus stop for places such as Palma were all about a five-minute walk away. All the staff were very friendly and did their best, even though it was the final week of the season.

We had a lovely week, with helpful, cheerful staff and great pools with plenty for the kids to do. The all-inclusive food was lovely and there was a good selection of drinks. Our room's air conditioning worked really well, though the room itself could use a bit of updating. The beach and shops were very close. We'd definitely come back.

This was our third stay at jutlandia, and we'll be back. The rooms are definitely getting better, and the service is brilliant. Reception, bar staff and cleaners all made us feel welcome. The only downside was that the light on our stairs didn't work, and I fell one evening because of it. 🙁
