The hostel and hotel seem to get mixed up in other reviews. The hotel has a pool and air conditioning, while the hostel doesn't. The rooms were clean and practical, and the location was great. They do get very warm, but each has a mounted fan, and hostel guests can use the hotel's pool, about a three-minute walk away. Check-in and check-out are there too. Head up to the roof for a fantastic view, it's well worth it.

For my first time staying alone in a hostel, I enjoyed it more than I expected. I had some trouble finding the entrance, but my room was very clean and tidy when I arrived, and every time I came back it had been cleaned thoroughly. Nothing went missing. The room was quite spacious for one person, with a nice balcony and chairs, though no ashtray. The staff were lovely and greeted me in the morning and afternoon. Special thanks to the elderly night receptionist at hotel Florida, who came all the way to my hostel to tell me my card wasn't working and needed to be reactivated. He was so sweet. It's affordable and worth the price, whether you're on your own or with a group. There were no ants in my room even though I left food around a lot. It would be more convenient to have a receptionist at the hostel, so guests could ask general questions there. I only went to hotel Florida once for breakfast, as well as for check-in and check-out. The comments about the uphill walk are true if you're heading to the strip, which most people do, but I found a few shortcuts. The walk to hotel Florida is only about three minutes. I was upset that sometimes they wouldn't let me use the pool there because I was on my own, but luckily I could use my friend's hotel pool. The hostel only has a vending machine, which gave me several unexpected electric shocks. The noise wasn't too bad, though you can hear conversations when people walk down the corridor. My only complaints were mold on the bathroom walls, a shower curtain that kept sticking to me, and shower pressure that was too strong. Otherwise, it's a decent hostel, and this is an honest review.

Every morning brought a beautiful sunrise, and most rooms seem to have a sea view because the hostel sits on a hill. Our room also had a ceiling fan that came in handy. You need to check in at another hotel about five minutes away on foot, where a huge self-serve breakfast is laid out each morning on a cliffside terrace. They cleaned the room daily, and two beautiful, clean beaches were seven minutes away on foot. A few small ants can get into the room if you leave food out, so be careful. Bring mosquito repellent too. We found street parking, though twice in our ten days the evening options were full and we had to park at a larger lot 10-15 minutes away on foot. For the price, it was a very good stay and we'd definitely return.

The hostel suits young people who enjoy partying, but families and anyone looking for peace may not find it comfortable. The rooms have poor sound insulation, so you hear the hallway and your neighbors, and in Magaluf they were noisy every night with parties. The bathroom was cramped, with a very small shower, and there was no soap or mini shampoo. On the good side, the staff were great, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast and dinners were wonderful, with lots of delicious choices, including vegetarian and vegan dishes, and a lovely view from the dining room. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and we got fresh towels every two days. The seaside was a five-minute walk away.
