Inn Mallorca Aparthotel

It's five minutes from the beach, and there are lots of bus lines just a one-minute walk from the aparthotel. A direct airport bus takes about 40 minutes. The apartment was clean and spacious, with the basics for cooking and comfortable beds. Staff were very welcoming, and check-in was all online, which was great. The downside is the soundproofing. You can hear everything, both outside noise and the neighbors.

We used this nice apartment as a base for three nights of trips around the island. It had everything we needed to cook, and the balcony was handy for drying towels and swimwear. I would've liked a full-height mirror, since there's only a small one above the sink, and a clothes rack. The WiFi in our room wasn't great, so a signal extender might help. It was a very good experience, and I'd recommend it. Special mention to "Spiga", the Italian restaurant attached to the building, and its owner, who welcomed us warmly and gave us suggestions that helped make the trip unforgettable.

The location was nice, and check-in and email communication were easy. But the bedding smelled so bad that we thought the sheets hadn't been washed. We moved the pillows into the living room hoping the smell would go away, but it spread through the whole apartment. It was disgusting. After reading the reply saying we'd complained and received more sheets, I was upset. We didn't manage to complain, and we never received extra sheets. Either they confused us with other guests or lied about it. If this is happening to more guests, that would be even worse.

We no longer felt comfortable staying at INN Mallorca after seeing three rooms. In the first, there were bugs in the bed, black mold inside the refrigerator, and blood and urine stains on the sheets. We reported it right away and were shown another room, which had cockroaches. I started packing to leave. My boyfriend viewed a third room with a security staff member. It didn't have cockroaches, but it was still dirty and he spotted spiders. He calmly asked for a refund so we could leave for another hotel, and said we'd be leaving a review about our experience. The director was on the phone and accused us of threatening the hotel, which wasn't true. We made no threats. We eventually got a refund and stayed elsewhere for the rest of our trip. We appreciate getting the money back, but the room conditions and the way the situation was handled were unacceptable.
