Casa das Fiadeiras de Nemiña

We stayed at CASA DE ANXO E SAMU and loved how peaceful it was. The apartment itself gets a 10/10, with a jacuzzi and the kind of amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Carmen was the highlight, though. She was so attentive and thoughtful about every little detail. Breakfast was continental, with delicious local products and village bread. A great place to get away from stress and noise. The service is excellent, and the breakfast is hard to beat. Totally recommend it!

We arrived ten minutes before our booking at 2:00 PM, but there was no meal ready for us, and we left without eating. We had booked lunch for four at A Casa das Fiadeiras de Nemiña for the 19th Outono Gastronómico (Gastronomic Autumn Festival), with a set menu and price. We reserved over WhatsApp well in advance, on September 11th, but didn't get a confirmation or any other information. On October 5th, we were tied up in the morning and couldn't check our phones. When I finally looked at 1:30 PM, there were several texts, a voicemail, and four missed calls asking us to confirm. The first contact had come at 1:03 PM, just 57 minutes before the booking. At 1:11 PM, a final message said, in a rather unpleasant tone, that the reservation had been automatically canceled because we hadn't confirmed. We immediately apologized for missing the calls and explained that we hadn't known anyone would contact us to confirm, especially only an hour before lunch. We said we still wanted the meal and even tried calling, but got no answer. So we went to the house at 1:50 PM. It didn't look like anyone was staying or eating there. The person who greeted us said nothing had been prepared because they assumed we weren't coming after we failed to confirm 57 minutes beforehand. We asked for a complaint form after a brief exchange, but the person didn't know where it was and started looking. We couldn't wait much longer because we needed to find somewhere else to eat. We left disappointed, without lunch, and unable to file a complaint despite arriving before our reservation time. A real shame. We won't be back.

The homemade breakfast was the highlight: generous, delicious, made with local produce, and served with lovely attention. It's a one-minute walk, about 40 meters away, at another house belonging to the family. A small family business that's a pleasure to support. The house has three rooms. The suite has a jacuzzi, while the other rooms are simpler but perfectly fine. There's also a small equipped kitchen and a glazed outdoor gallery shared by guests, a lovely place to watch both sunrise and sunset. You can tell a lot of care went into the project. It's a charming place for a weekend or a short week, in an idyllic setting for relaxing and exploring some of Galicia's most authentic Atlantic areas. Pets are welcome at no extra charge. We'll definitely be back 🥰
