Ibis Budget Valencia Centro Puerto

The rooms looked fairly new and were clean, and the bathroom was a good size for a budget brand. Breakfast was a good continental spread, though it costs a little extra, and reception staff were helpful and spoke good English. It’s closer to the beach and marina than the centre, but the metro is a 10-minute walk away and goes to both the centre and airport. I’d give it 9/10: checkout can mean a long wait for the lift when it’s busy and the cleaners are using it too. There are stairs, at least.

There isn’t much going on around the hotel, though a bus stop is right outside and the marina isn’t far. The staff were friendly and breakfast was decent, but the small breakfast room gets crowded quickly. My main issue was how tiny the rooms are. There’s just one window that opens, and it’s left closed, which makes the room smell odd. Housekeeping could be better too.

Clarisse and Maria B. at reception really made us feel welcome. They were friendly, always smiling, and gave us useful tips for the city. It was also easy to get around from this location, which is close to everything we needed. The rooms are a little small, but they were very clean and comfortable, just right for our stay in Valencia. We’d come back and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting.

There’s a bus stop right in front, handy for getting to the city centre and other tourist spots. For a budget stay in Valencia, this is a great option. I’d choose a higher floor for a nice view over the port or city.
