The family who run this quiet countryside villa were very welcoming and helpful, including with recommendations for the area. The old building has all the details you'd hope for, from squeaky wooden floors to antique furniture, but it's still clean and well maintained. It was just what we pictured for our trip to northwest Spain, and one of our most memorable stays so far.

A wonderful place to unwind and explore the breathtaking Costa da Morte, run by the lovely host Pilar and her family. The rooms are outstanding, and breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We loved how the beautiful setting brings together peace and nature with history and tradition. We're grateful for a wonderful stay and hope to see you again soon!

A beautiful, atmospheric stone house, well appointed and tucked away somewhere quiet. Thanks to Greta for the lovely continental breakfast, and to the owners for welcoming pets.

I didn't want to leave, and we actually left with tears in our eyes. CASA DE TRILLO is a little piece of paradise, and I would always come back. The house is beautiful and historic, in the family for six or seven generations, yet so comfortable and cozy. Everything, inside and out, was neat and clean, and the whole area is perfect. Pilar and her husband Mario are really friendly, sweet, obliging, and helpful. They love animals, and our dog was very welcome. Breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice every morning. Pilar gave us a big hug when we checked out. I recommend the place, you won't regret it. Ten stars!

Really nice place, and the food is excellent. Just be aware the map pin is in the wrong place. It should be in Santa Maria, 2-3 km to the northeast.
