The area is peaceful, and there’s a fireplace for winter. The cottage was spotless and had basics like salt, coffee, and sugar. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and we got excellent service. The garden felt less private than we expected. You reach it through a small window, which is manageable if you’re agile, but the metal gate can be opened by anyone. With fields and a few small wells nearby, I didn’t feel it was as safe for children. We also expected the barbecue to be inside, but it’s out in the fields across the road, which isn’t convenient. The house sleeps six, though there’s just one bathroom.

There are great trails and landscapes nearby, and the house is in a very peaceful spot. It’s also conveniently close to La Alberca, Peña de Francia, and Extremadura.

The rooms are roomy and the beds really comfortable. The heater kept us nice and warm, and the lady was very kind. I also noticed the large park right in front as soon as we arrived. Parking is easy too, with a lot just across the street. Everything was great.

Getting to the backyard is awkward. There’s no door from the house, just stairs down from a bedroom window.

The beds were the worst part for me. The so-called mattresses are thin futons, and the bed frame was broken and sagging. I was awake for two nights because of it. The garden is a mess, and the back looks like a flowerbed. At the front, the house shares walls with a doctor’s office and a bar. This was easily my worst stay in a rural house, and I don’t recommend it at all.
