La Arbolada

It took a while for the water to heat up, though it was fine after that. Nights were a little cold, but the blankets kept me warm.

We found the place spacious and well located, and the double sofa bed was really comfortable, especially for a family. The only downside was the lack of blinds, which meant the children woke up very early with the light. We did have trouble opening the downstairs door through the app, but the hosts replied to WhatsApp straight away and offered other ways in. The upstairs door worked perfectly. I can see the negative reviews may be from a while back.

We had a great stay, and I was surprised by the Google rating because nothing like those complaints happened to us. There were two adults, two children, and a dog with us. The room was clean and warm, they let us in early, and even brought bowls for the dog. Check-in by cell phone worked without any problems, the location is perfect, and the owners were lovely and looked after us really well. Navacerrada is cold, that's just how it is, so you need to keep the heat pump on. A 10 from us! Thanks so much!

I wouldn't recommend this place or come back. The mobile phone door access failed on a couple of occasions, and we ended up waiting outside for 3 hours with our one-year-old baby. We couldn't change him or give him dinner, and had to stay by the door in the hope someone would come or go and let us in. Staff didn't answer our calls or messages, and the service was terrible. After three hours out in the street with a baby in the middle of December, we finally got inside when someone was leaving. We're still waiting for a reply. For such a crappy, cold apartment, the price-quality ratio is outrageous.
