Hotel Rural Xerete

We slept exceptionally well, with a lovely sense of quiet throughout the hotel. Hotel Cerete has only just opened in the Jerte Valley, and it already feels like a place we'll return to. Finding it was easy, with convenient access and clear signs from the road, even arriving at night as we did. Inside, a crackling fire and warm atmosphere made us relax straight away. It smelled so good that we asked where the air fresheners came from. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and delicious. The hosts were attentive, kind, and friendly, making sure we had what we needed. They even booked lunch for the next day at the restaurant they recommended and carefully explained the route we wanted to take. A new project off to a great start, and highly recommended.

Nerea and Javi made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, looking after us without hovering. They told us about things to do and hiking routes, and offer wonderful local products. The views across the valley are wonderful, access is easy, and our spacious, comfortable room let us wake to the sound of countless birds. In summer there's a fantastic pool. Cristina, the cook, is lovely, and her beef cheeks are mouth-wateringly good. I stayed this past weekend with a friend and would give the place a whole constellation of stars if I could. Thank you all for such a wonderful weekend. I'd recommend it and return a thousand times over.

The staff were kind and friendly, even when a problem came up. Meals came from an appealing menu and the portions were generous. Breakfast was varied and very complete, with local products such as cherries. We appreciated that management uses soaps without harmful additives, and the rooms were consistently very clean. The hotel's spectacular location, inspiring decor, and welcoming feel made it the experience we were looking for. Our room was spacious, with a terrace, and the bed was very comfortable with several pillows and cushions. Definitely 100% recommended.

We loved the breakfasts and dinners, and the rooms were large and tastefully decorated, with a balcony in each one for enjoying the views. We spent five wonderful days in this beautiful house. The surroundings and location were fantastic, and the hosts were warm and always attentive to what we needed. Thank you, Nerea and Javier, and a special thank you to Cristina, who left everything spotless. We won't forget you. If we return to visit the Jerte Valley, we'll definitely stay here again.
