Parador De Gredos

The private terrace for our room was beautiful, but it connected straight to the hotel's communal terrace, so there was no privacy. In the evening, people brought food and drinks, moved furniture around, and made plenty of noise. The noise carried on late, especially during the “astronomy sessions”; we couldn't sleep until midnight. The location and the view are lovely, and the old building has a faded charm. Still, the stay felt more like camping than luxury hospitality. The rooms aren't soundproof, and with no air conditioning they get unbearably hot. The bedsheets feel like hospital sheets. Air conditioning is necessary here. The room terrace needs a proper divider, and the shared terrace should close by 10:30 pm.

There are lots of routes nearby, making this a fantastic place to explore nature. The hotel is also a historical landmark: it was the first Parador and the place where the current Spanish constitution was written. In a special room, Salón de los ponentes, you can see some photos and memorabilia.

The staff were super nice, the view was awesome, and the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious. They have good options for vegetarians too.

A lovely parador in the mountains, in a peaceful spot with lots of walks nearby. The food was delicious, and the staff were professional and friendly. Well worth a visit.
