Apartamentos Rurales Casa Pachona

The spectacular garden is beautifully decorated, with space for children and adults to enjoy. Inside, the apartment was spacious, fully equipped for our family, and felt like home. Every little detail was carefully looked after, from the decor and lighting to the cleanliness and pleasant smell when we walked into the rural house. We’re a couple with 6-year-old twins, and stayed at "Casa Pachona Rural Apartments" for our summer holiday. Mercedes' management and attention made us feel so well cared for. The garden is large, with different spots to eat or relax, and even a small playground for children. There aren’t any shops or services nearby, but the secluded setting has its own charm. The Corbeiron apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and practical, with two bedrooms overlooking the sea. It’s thoughtfully decorated and has a washing machine and oven, making it ideal for families with children. Mercedes, the owner, is incredibly friendly.

The four apartments they rent are in the same house, and the soundproofing is very poor. You can clearly hear and understand neighbors downstairs and next door speaking at normal volume. Conversations aren’t the only thing that carries: you can also hear other couples having sex, because of the poor soundproofing, not because they’re making excessive noise. The landlady often sits in a tiny space under the apartment stairs, where she listens to conversations from the apartments through the walls. There are cats everywhere. They jump into cars when doors are opened, get into the apartments and living areas, and sit on chairs and cushions. I consider this unhealthy for pregnant women because cats can transmit toxoplasmosis, which can pass to the fetus and cause irreversible damage to the eyes, nervous system, hearing and skin. There is no treatment or vaccine for cats that prevents transmission of toxoplasmosis to pregnant women.

The place was quiet and clean, and had everything we needed. The lady was very nice. It’s in a beautiful setting away from town, but Puerto de Vega is only 20 minutes away along a good road with a sidewalk for pedestrians.
