Hostal Luna De Nerja

Franck, the owner, was friendly, helpful, and always around when I needed him. He knows a lot about local olive oil too, so ask him if you're looking to buy some. My room had a big comfortable bed, a little balcony, and a great shower. For the price, it's the best value in Nerja: right in the centre, yet very quiet during the two nights I stayed.

Breakfast and check-in were a bit chaotic but entertaining, almost like Fawlty Towers. Things did get done, just not always in the right order. There were nice bread rolls, ham, fresh banana and oranges, yoghurt, and later some boiled eggs. The coffee and tea at breakfast weren't good, though. Rooms are very good for the price, with a comfortable bed and a tiny shower; the rest of the bathroom was good. There's a pretty little balcony, English TV channels, and bedroom AC that worked well but made a little noise. The location is handy for lots of good restaurants and bars, and it was mostly quiet after 11 pm. Good value for the location, and I can recommend it.

The owners, a woman and her daughter, were warm and helpful and made us feel at home. The hostel is right in central Nerja. Our room was small but very clean, with daily cleaning, and they even provided beach towels. I’d recommend staying here; you get a lot for the money.

Tina & Jon were the highlight for us. We could ask them for anything, and unless it was impossible, they made it happen. Their son is a great kid too. We couldn't have asked for nicer people. The hostel has everything you need. We started in a street-facing room with a little French balcony for watching people pass, then moved to a slightly bigger one at the back with a lovely patio/terrace. The back room was quieter too. Luna de Nerja is right in the centre, with shops and bars just steps away. It's cheap and clean, and the owners and staff are amazing. If you're visiting Nerja, book here.
